The following was sent to us by former Kool-aid drinker, MindSupreme. Yes PR lurkers, MindSupreme. You can stop looking for him on the boards because he’s never going back. We thank him for coming forward.
My first blurb about PR was long-winded and rather nonsensical. I’ll go for succinct this time. For perspective, I am an Afri-centric brother to the bone, a husband, and a father. I’m an educated professional deeply vested in the progress of black people. I’ve had some great conversations on PanacheReport particularly with a like-minded brother who I haven’t noticed on there in quite a while… I’ve also noticed some things that just made me shake my head. From that framework, I have the following issues with PR:
1. An apparent fascination with prostitution. Feature articles from nearly the beginning have been on the lifestyles of high-class call-girls. My understanding is there is no price that can be put on the precious jewels of the black woman, neither 20 bucks in the alley nor a 5 million dollar condo. You are worth more than that and street walking is neither a viable career nor is it even legal in 48 states. I remember reading in complete dismay about a callgirl who saved her money, invested, and is doing well now. That is to say, “it’s not that bad…just know when to get out and save your money”. Wrong, the advice should be value yourself as God’s co-creator of the entire human family. The focus on this tells me the mods of PR are OK with this as evidenced by the stated profession of some of the most popular posters who are MP’s close friends. I’m not.
2. The continual demasculation of the black man. Ok that’s not a word, but I’m using it! If I were a foreigner with no knowledge of African Americans and PR was my sole source of information, I would overwhelmingly conclude that most black men are either gay openly or gay behind closed doors. You can’t put star after star, leader after leader, even the most prominent Af-Am pastors in the entire country on blast for being DL and not realize that it has an impact on the perception of us if no more than on the unconscious level. Overall, it seems like the bro’s are being put down down down.
3. An apparent fascination with marrying rich. While there have been articles on high society and secret society African Americans, I’ve yet to see a continual thread on benefits of acquiring advanced degrees, or career paths to the C-suite, or ANYTHING more uplifting than “how to marry a billionaire”.
4. An interesting stance on crime. There have been SO many articles on the black mafia, black gangsters, and black drug runners, all in a semi-glorified way. An entire section of MP’s movie picks is devoted to the black underworld. The one that really got me was the front page on some thugs who were being too flashy at their parties and had caught the attention of federal authorities. PR’s advice? Stop being so flashy! Why not say “Get out of the business!” or even “Crime does not pay!” No, PR just said they should tone it down a bit. SMH
5. I remember when Lit joked about her client, the transgender prostitute and all of his antics and the whole board was in giggle city. No issue with it at all. But take a C-list actress who for reasons unknown to most is on PR’s bad side, and they are the worst thing since Hitler. Got it? Actress who sleeps around? Dirty slut unless she’s a friend of the site. Guy who dresses as a woman, and has sex with other men for money? Good stuff! SMH.
At the end of the day, it’s just a blog. One website by one person on the internet shouldn’t be able to do much harm. In this case, one has. I’ve rambled on longer than before and I didn’t even mention the rude, callous, gangbang style of the so-called insiders for posters they don’t care for anymore. They are the antithesis to all things grown and sexy. Of course it’s been quite peaceful in that land here recently; guess it’s not hard to agree with yourself.

My sentiments exactly. I wrote a comment on the last thread before I even read your post but like you, I notice this fascination with prostitutes and call-girls. Thats why I once called Myra a Bay area madame. Seriously, if any of her dribble is to be believed, who else would have that much inside knowledge of the bedroom antics of nearly every celebrity?

Yeah, I noticed the “masked” hate for the black man also (sometimes it was hidden but at other times it was pretty blatant)and I remember one time in the past, they had issues with candidate Obama.I was sort of puzzeled by the hate for black males on the site but, now I understand the reasons behind the constant disrespect.

MindSupreme, you broke it down. I feel bad that you were posting amongst wolves. You provided so much insight and knowledge into areas that I was unaware of. Panache Report did nothing to uplift, all they did was tear it down. They are a cancer, a poison.

This post coincides exactly what THIS website and the LSA thread on exposing PR is all about.
On point #1 alone, I LOVE YOU!
That being said, YOU have really hit hard on just why PR is the mess that they are.
I started reading PR for the old school stories and started to read the BI’s and the comments from the other posters there. Their knowledge of the sex industry was always baffling to me. Why have that crap on a website that could uplift women and the Af-Am people as a whole?
I never posted, but remember reading your posts and after awhile, when I became suspicious of the site, wondered why you and a few of the other posters were there. Some of you made too much sense and didn’t fall into the trash category that was being spewed.

For most of the reasons you state, I skipped the front page.
I noticed from the first that the main page stories were weird. Always about violence, drugs, prostitution in all its forms. I didn’t understand how people who claimed to be so sophisticated could be so caught up with this crap. What is interesting about a man who murdered three young girls in a gruesome manner? (I’m making that up.)
I did notice the double standard for Halle/Naomi and for Gabby and others. I name Gabby because there seemed to be special hate directed her way. When I believed the hype, I often wondered what she did to deserve such treatment. I still wonder why she was singled out so much. And in that vein why focus so hard on Kim K? Something in the milk isn’t clean!
I will say that I rarely read your posts MindSupreme because at one point you commented on that mason crap. (if you’re really into that, I apologize for seeming disrespectful but that whole thing…) I found all that secret society, devil-worshiping stuff to be a real problem and really disturbing. Besides every male in the entertainment industry being gay, every successful performer has sold his soul to the devil and keeps his/her spot by recruiting unsuspecting newbies. While the entertainment industry is closed, I refuse to believe that EVERY successful person in it walks on the dark side. I couldn’t bring any of that into my space and never did. I always skipped those discussions.
The more that the Exposers discover, the more that I believe there is a hidden reason to this site, She makes money but not the way we think. And I don’t think it’s as innocent as just a madame. There is a dark dark side to all of this and who’s to say it isn’t/wasn’t a recruiting tool?
Anything i wanted to say, has already been said. I will only say Thank you MindSupreme.

MindSupreme, good to see you! I didn’t always agree with your posts (let me tell the truth – i rarely agreed!), but i always read them and respected your point of view. I loved reading thoughtful, earnest posts, so belated thanks! Like ihaveto posted, i have low tolerance for the conspiracy theory/secret society/occult panic stuff. But I love seeing the names of people whose posts i respected.
I’d been lurking on PR for years, but never posted – i always vacillated between 1. engaging in lively and fun dish with other grown folks, and 2. holding back from angrily responding to what i knew was really some bullshit that i knew would result in a hyper-emotional and irrational pile-on and therefore wasn’t worth the keystrokes. If you guys don’t mind my interrupting the Hey-It’s-MindSupreme-What-Up-Bruh flow for just a sec to make a point, though, I really hope we’re not trading in one flavor of Kool-aid for another. Like i said in another thread, whether Myra is a lesbian or not is irrelevant. Lesbian does not equal man-hating. Period. Not personally checking for a man doesn’t mean lacking respect and appreciation for him and his masculinity. Yes, i agree that Myra has a specific disrespect and disdain for brothers. I also think she showed a sadistic interest in jacked-up storied about black women and children. Personally, i think it’s because she’s, you know, A SELF-HATING PSYCHO FREAK. Not because she may or may not be queer. Making that jump is the same ugly ignorant ass-backward thinking that exposed PR as being some bored lonely person’s internet hobby.
Just sayin’.
I’m sorry to come off so single-minded about this, but this really bothers me. It hurts to find humor and community as “internet refugees” from one B.S. source to find people willing to re-engage the the same old same old in another.

Hi KOS & Mind Supreme. Miss Bee Jay from Youtube here. I have already answered you KOS but for MS, I really enjoyed your posts on PR though you never responded to me. I used to post over there and the only response I usually got was from Highbridge, and sometimes Philly poet. Then just before I left for good… all of a sudden I recd a rush of responses. I used to be in the industry and come from a very talented family. Some are still in the biz so I have insider info from time to time. I was not so free to post though. I would feel very bad for putting someone’s personal business out there. Also, since I know or have fam who knows these folks on a personal level, If they should somehow read what I post they will immediately know where it came from. So I would hold back or not post a lot of times. Now, I totally realize that it is wrong to spread anything about any other person so I made up my mind that I would never post on PR again. Since then …I haven’t ..and I won’t.

I used to enjoy downloading your music when you would post it up, if I said TY my Thanks or anything off humor that I would try to post to you never made it on the boards, as I said, I was a LURKER big time only to post probably like once a year.
I did post at one time at the passing of my mom last year because she would enjoy when I would read the Motown stuff to her and we would get a kick out of that part of the site. It was our time together and for a while I could not bring myself back to PR for a moment.
But when I did, it was nice to know that so many folks genually cared and wish me well. After that it was always back to lurking. So again, TY KOS for your music and the many laughs on the post. Mind Supreme was to me, my deep thinking brother and its good to see him post up top.

Hi jlee, That reminds me of the E-fight I had with “Khloe”. We went back and forward for a few days. I called her all kinds of impolite names and did not once let up. I guess you can say I was the first to start all name calling. LOL. And it was hard trying not to curse her out.
Now I am thinking did “Khloe” know that she was E-battling with me or any one else??? My guess is probably NOt!!! And now I feel bad about it all. Myra and her crew are pure evil.

Honestly, the ‘Khloe’ fights were entertaining. Only because I’m not a Kardashian fan anyway. But my not liking them stems from the way they and their mother conduct themselves on the television show. Not because of perceived ‘trollings’ from Khloe on PR.
I doubt very, very seriously if anyone in entertainment has ever heard of Panache Report.
