Who was Litigating/Lauryn?
NOTE: THIS WAS ORIGINALLY GOING TO BE A VIDEO BUT THE FINDINGS AND FACTS WERE JUST TOO MUCH LOL
You’d be hard pressed to find a former kool-aid drinker who WASN’T turned off by Myra Panache’s lawyer, Litigating aka Litigating/Lauryn aka Domonique “Litigating” Desiree. She was annoyingly arrogant, disrespectful, defensive, rude and condescending. Lit’s been missing in action for a while now. Is she lurking? We don’t know. The last update we received on her whereabouts came from Myra Gorgeous Sable who said Lit was “working back to back cases” and “was going to try to return for the private board.” However, this was back in April 2009 and the board is still not private and Lit is still gone.
So just who was Litigating/Lauryn? From what she openly admitted to on the board:
She was from New Orleans, Louisiana.
She was originally from Georgia.
She represented a college student who’s never been in trouble before.
The college student was found guilty on a lesser charge and may get a new trial.
With these facts, can we really find out who Litigating/Lauryn was? Maybe. Maybe not. But there is a woman who seems to really fit the description.
This woman was a former assistant district attorney in New Orleans. This woman is a now a private defense attorney. This woman’s client(s) included a former college student (with honors) who was convicted of manslaughter but found not guilty for attempted murder in the second degree.
Can Kenisha Parks of Louisiana really be Litigating/Lauryn? We do not know. But what we do know is “Litigating/Lauryn” originally went by “Litigating” before she added the “Lauryn” when Myra decided to base the character, “Lauryn” on Lit in her series of Ballin’ books. Same for the Domonique “Litigating” Desiree moniker.
Let’s focus our attention to Kenisha Parks. A quick Google search yielded all kinds of results. But what stuck out to us was this:
Kenisha Parks, New Orleans, (2008-B-3006) Suspension for a year and a day ordered by the court on April 24, 2009. JUDGMENT FINAL and EFFECTIVE on May 8, 2009. Gist:Making false statements to the ODC and engaging in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation. SOURCE: THE LOUISIANA BAR ASSOCIATION, Page 44.
Suspended for a year? Wow. Just how bad was it?
Respondent acted knowingly and intentionally in violating duties owed to the public and the legal profession. She caused harm to the disciplinary system as well as the legal profession and has never acknowledged her wrongfulness. The baseline sanction for this type of misconduct is a period of suspension. The record supports the aggravating factors of a dishonest or selfish motive, a pattern of misconduct, bad faith obstruction of the disciplinary proceeding by intentionally failing to comply with rules or orders of the disciplinary agency, submission of false evidence, false statements, or other deceptive practices during the disciplinary process, and refusal to acknowledge the wrongful nature of the conduct. The only mitigating factors are the absence of a prior disciplinary record and inexperience in the practice of law. SOURCE: THE LOUISIANA SUPREME COURT
Okay. But what exactly did Ms. Parks do?
According to The Louisiana Supreme Court, looks like Ms. Parks got into a fender bender and lied (while under oath) about her insurance being up to date, lied about practicing law in Alabama and Georgia and lied about having a Georgia driver’s license. Looks like the courts found that Ms. Parks did not have any insurance because she failed to pay the premiums. We think Ms. Parks made the situation worse by, according to the public court documents, not responding to any of emails and letters that were sent to her.
Things may get worse before they get better for Kenisha Parks. Her former client, Ray Boudreaux is officially holding Kenisha accountable for his guilty verdict and plans to appeal.
In an extraordinary appeal, Boudreaux says he lost not only his Tulane scholarship and future career but also his right to have effective representation at trial.
He accuses his former attorneys, whom his family hired, of bungling his case by failing to call eyewitnesses on his behalf and by goading him to “manipulate” his own version of what occurred when he spoke to the jury.
“Ray Boudreaux is the true victim in this ill-fated case, ” Cooper Spence wrote on behalf of the Loyola Law Clinic in recent motions.
Days after the June 2008 trial, Judge Arthur Hunter granted Boudreaux an “appeal bond.” After his family and friends chipped in to post $225,000 in sureties, he promised not to stray from court hearings and thus has been allowed to remain free.
Instead, Hunter ordered Boudreaux to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet and return to court. He later reduced the postconviction bond to $200,000.
Boudreaux is due at Criminal District Court on Oct. 30 to ask Hunter to toss out the jury’s verdict on the grounds that his attorneys pressured him to tell an abbreviated version of what he did outside Club Utopia on Bourbon Street. SOURCE: NOLA
The affidavits say the duo cared more about Boudreaux’s choice of suits than what he would tell the jury on the witness stand.
“They insisted that I testify to a different version that they came up with on their own or else I would definitely lose the trial, ” Boudreaux said in a sworn statement. “I was terrified.” SOURCE: NOLA
But Judge Hunter wants to hear from everyone involved in the Boudreaux defense, saying he won’t rule on the appeals from only reading the signed affidavits filed at court. Hunter is ordering Parks, Wright and Boudreaux into court next month to take the stand on the issue of whether Boudreaux was goaded into changing his testimony. Boudreaux said Parks and Wright kept him up until 3 a.m. the night before trial telling him to change certain facts.
Boudreaux said Parks and Wright insisted on telling the jury that a video they lifted from one of the victims’ MySpace page was related to the Sept. 16, 2007, fight in which Boudreaux was captured on surveillance video wielding a knife.
“Parks knew prior to trial that my cousin was not in the video and that this was not video from Sept. 16, 2007, ” Boudreaux said in his affidavit. “They informed me that this is how it happens at Tulane and Broad.”
Parks at trial argued that the “second video” — which shows several young men in the French Quarter brawling — was proof enough that the victims were prone to violence and must have instigated the fight that forced Boudreaux to defend himself. SOURCE: NOLA

Hi all!!! I’m late as usual and have been trying to figure out what’s really going on with PR??? I was just reading and came across this site and this particular part involving Lit/Lau. – Being from New Orleans, I’ve always felt that Lit was from my city. And when I asked her about it she claimed she was from Georgia. She just knew too much about the city and from that point I knew she was a liar. She claimed that she was dating a man from N.O. and because of that, she was in the city often. (yea right!!!) She ran away so many people, it’s like Myra was lucky to still have a running site. She ran away my homie, AllupinyoBi. They bumped heads about who was more connected in the city. And my girl, Allup was not backing down for shit. She actually said something that made Lit S T F U!!! LOL. From that point I would not post too often, but lurked my ass off. And I witnessed many posters get beheaded. – So I am real happy to finally see the truth emerge from all the smoke and mirrors.
