I am the poster known as Chi-Town Reader on PR and Cream & Sugar from the few posts on LSA. First and foremost, I would also like to sincerely and whole-heartedly apologize for any misguided bashing, hurt feelings, and what could have been perceived as ass-hole remarks to anyone posting or lurking on “Pretending to be Real”. When I ran across PR I had never been on a message board or blog site before that. At the time, I was dealing with the stress of chemo and radiation treatments my mother was undergoing. I am now over my initial shock of looking behind the curtain and seeing the craziness, the fake, the pseudo-elitism, etc. I am done with the krazy kool-aid. I knew something beyond major must have gone down when, without fanfare or real explanation, she decided to go private with the site. I even emailed her to ask whether or not she intended to contact ppl, or how she planned to do a membership thing (because I damn sure wasn’t going to pay). It felt as if her game had been called, and she was trying to hide before stuff really hit the fan, and boy did it hit the fan.

I liked the site at first due to the fact that it seemed to be filled with bright, intelligent, Melanin dominated people, however there where some things that I could never understand, fathom, and my spirit did not agree with.

YOU SAID IT: The elitism that they tried to emulate was truly nauseating

Ok. I first started to get turned off by Panache Report when the regulars, specifically Gorgeous Sable, would post the disgusting tidbits she did about Sallie Richardson. Then, the BI’s about Aaliyah and Shakir Stewart really got to me. The lies that she would post when I knew that she was lying got on my nerves as well.
The clique-ish atmosphere, the mean girl “troll” bashing, tag teaming, and the way they treated certain posters was the last straw. Namely Ms. PDyse, Golden Girl, ShellyBelly, KOS, and SheKnows. I didn’t specifically correspond with most of the posters that they have run off, but the way Myra allowed them to be treated was the last straw. The elitism that they tried to emulate was truly nauseating.
I hated Lit/Lau. Pompous, arrogant, “Halle look-a-like”, high-strung, Eddie George & football player-chasin’ shoe whore bitch. Sable was a wannabe gold digger, green-eyed, fake-hair wearing tramp. Madison was the “retired in her 30’s” elite wannabe ho. Lobbyist was the “Capitol Hill” wannabe politician but stuck being a Lobbyist azzhole.
We think a lot of people were dismayed by the blind items that were purported to be about Shakir Stewart and Aaliyah.
YOU SAID IT: They are the antithesis to all things grown and sexy

My first blurb about PR was long-winded and rather nonsensical. I’ll go for succinct this time. For perspective, I am an Afri-centric brother to the bone, a husband, and a father. I’m an educated professional deeply vested in the progress of black people. I’ve had some great conversations on PanacheReport particularly with a like-minded brother who I haven’t noticed on there in quite a while… I’ve also noticed some things that just made me shake my head. From that framework, I have the following issues with PR:
1. An apparent fascination with prostitution. Feature articles from nearly the beginning have been on the lifestyles of high-class call-girls. My understanding is there is no price that can be put on the precious jewels of the black woman, neither 20 bucks in the alley nor a 5 million dollar condo. My name is MyCat Nippy but on PR I was TECHNOGEEK. I considered myself “one of the regulars” and I had been posting there ever since “MYRA” opened up the site to posting (2006 or 7).
During my time there I enjoyed posting and reading posts. PR and another political site were the ONLY sites I posted on. I, in fact, enjoyed posting there so much that I broke my professional cardinal rule…giving technical advice for free. I was a long time lurker & brief poster on PR that found the board by happenstance while searching for celebrity blogs/gossip. For months i was drawn to the board, but always felt that something was not quite right. My spirit felt uneasy due to the constant hate spread by the likes of (myra, GS, Soul Train, Dramatical, GEP’S) to name a few. The site had me looking at every African-American male celebrity like they were disease carrying or disease prone due to the fact that they accuse everybody and they mama of being Down-Low and Tranny Lovers.

YOU SAID IT: It Seemed Almost Too Good To Be True
We received the following tip from former Kool-aid drinker, Negrita. We appreciate her for coming forward while using her Panache Report username. 
I started on the PR site after reading, a very disturbing blind item from PR on another site. At first on PR it seemed almost too good to be true..There was talk of this exclusive “SKYVILLA” with a waiting list of 2000+ people. What made it even more interesting was PR claimed that they had interviewed the victim of this blind item. Since then that blind item has been removed from archives. I checked. Someone was giving us clues from another site about this blind item. They even threw in links from black voices messageboard and told us that, Wyntergrace was Myra and they also revealed Paris’s BV SN. I believe it was Myra all along. Using that information to make it appear as her blind item had validity she hinted that another celebrity (Z-list) had played apart in a Black actress being raped/assaulted. I found myself intrigued and continued posting. Soon something about it all didn’t seem right. Besides PR’s grammatical errors, and the site set-up.
